bet on college football

NCAA Betting - The different types of Bets!
Side WagersA wager on the Side is a wager to win the game outright. A Spread ('handicap') usually applies to this bet.
Example bet: $100 on the St Louis Rams at -7.0 -1.10
If the St Louis Rams win by 8 or more points, your return would be $190.90 ($90.90 winnings plus your stake returned).
If the final result, taking into account the handicap, is a Push, the wager is void and your stake is returned. Overtime counts for this bet.

Total Wagers
With Totals, you can wager whether the combined scores of both teams will go over or under the nominated total (in this example, 42).
Example bet: $100 on the total to go UNDER 42
If the final combined score of the two teams adds up to less than 42 points, your return would be $190.90 ($90.90 winnings plus your stake returned)
If the score falls exactly on the nominated Total this is classed as a Push, therefore the wager is void and your stake is returned. Overtime counts for this bet.

Buying half points
A customer may wish to take a more advantageous number by adding or subtracting ¬ý point from the Spread or the Total.
Example bet: $100 on the Tennessee Titans at +7.0 -1.10, with 1/2 point
The customer buys the 1/2 point for 10c, thereby making the bet: $100 on the Tennessee Titans at +7.5 -1.20.
If the game is a tie, or the Titans lose by 7 points or less, the bets wins and your return would be $183.33 ($83.33 winnings plus your stake returned).
It is not possible to buy 1/2 point on the Spread in the following instances:
From 3.0 to 2.5 (and vice versa) From 3.5 to 3.0 (and vice versa) On first half or second half lines of any game
Moneyline wagers
A Moneyline wager is a wager to win the game outright, i.e. with no handicapping. This tends to be a less popular bet than the Side, as the Side usually offers a better value price.
Example bet: $100 on St Louis Rams at +300
If the St Louis Rams win the game, your return will be $400.00 ($300 winnings plus your stake returned). Checkout

is an entertainment portal in its own right and their generous player signup bonuses makes this a book to check out!How to Bet College Footballby Doc's Sports
College Football is the foundation of 35 years of business at Doc's Sports. This is the sport in which we have made great profits year in and year out, capped off by an unthinkable 19 game win streak with our "Big Ten Game of the Year." We have consistently beaten the books in college football because of a few key factors, which are listed as follows:
1) Rate your plays based on units. Every selection we make is based on a unit system. Most plays rate as 4-unit selections. Top Games usually draw 5-unit or 6-unit consideration. Our College Game of the Year is the only 7-unit play we release and finally, the Big Ten Game of the Year is an 8-unit selection. Stick with this system the entire season for best results.
For Sports VisitorsHuge 50% Cash Bonus!Deposit $500 and Get $250 FREE!CLICK HERE 2) Focus in on your local teams. Since we are located in the heart of the Midwest, we anchor our selections from the Big Ten Conference. We research local papers daily and often times use the Wisconsin Badgers as a selection (either for or against). We have found great success with this formula and will continue to do so.
3) The Momentum Factor. While momentum does not play that big of a role in pro football, it takes a big role in college football, especially late in the season. Teams that have gotten off to a bad start and have no chance at making a bowl game will often throw in the towel. Go against these teams even if it requires you to lay double-digit points.
College Football falls under the standard betting where you must lay a juice of 10 percent of your investment. That means in order to win $100, you must bet $110. If you win you will receive $210 from your ticket.
Betting on college football Odds is not the same as with the NFL, so make sure you separate the two. Because of the vast number of teams, the parity between college football programs is slight, and therefore you are going to see some high numbers in the NCAA. The talent disparity is big especially in the non-conference portion of the schedule where teams enter hostile environments just to collect a hefty check with no visions of being competitive.
Getting into the nuts and bolts of college football means looking at the many stats in order to beat the number. As opposed to pro football, college football is less dependent on situations and angles and more dependent on certain statistics. Rushing offense and rushing defense, pass efficiency offense and defense, and turnover margins are huge. These are vital in the NFL, but even more so when it comes to college football.
After completing this article view our college bowl game odds page. If you plan on betting college football you'll also want to read our college football betting lines page. Doc's Sports college football game schedule page is and excellent college football resource as well. For 35+ years the team at Doc's Sports Service has provided and insight on college football handicapping.
Being able to run the ball in college football has always been a key factor in the overall success of a team. The same adage also goes for teams who have the ability to stop the run. Putting these two factors together can produce a positive result in gambling because there is minimal risk for turnovers with teams that possess a dominating running game.
For 35 years, Doc's has been your home for college football. We have consistently beaten the books with our vast knowledge of how to bet college football, including numerous scouts and key information guys for around the country. Be sure to check in with us throughout football season for another weekend of big game winners.

It wasn't the Big 12's finest moment.
The conference had a shot to make a big splash in the national scene on Saturday, and instead it reaffirmed what many experts believed: that the conference is weak. The Big 12 went 0-5 against teams in the Top 25 and held a 5-7 mark overall.
To make matters worse, Texas A&M needed a late defensive stand to hold off Army 28-24 on national television.
Heartbreaking Loss: Oklahoma allowed 14 points in 22 seconds to fall to No. 18 Oregon in Eugene. Two calls went against Bob Stoops' club. An onside kick and a pass-interference call both showed on televised replays that they should have been reversed Oklahoma's way. Stoops told USA Today: "Even though (the officials) acted like they did, at least the whole country and everybody...sees what really happened."
The Fab Four? There are four undefeated teams. All four of them aren't conference favorites. Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Missouri are undefeated - but who did they play? The four teams' opponents combined record is 9-24. Yes, that includes four Division I-AA opponents also.
Battle-Tested? Oklahoma State is in the same situation it was a year ago. Mike Gundy's squad started 3-0 last year before losing seven of its final eight. This year could be different because never in Oklahoma State history has a Cowboys team opened up by winning its first three games by at least 28 points. OSU's toughest test so far is this week with Houston, which sits at 3-0 and is averaging 39.33 points per game. "All we can ask them to do is to stop people, and they have until this point," Gundy told SportingNews .
A Strenuous Stretch: Iowa State knew after its first two games that the tough stretch was upcoming. On Saturday, the Cyclones lost to No. 16 Iowa, next week they travel to No. 7 Texas, and then Northern Iowa, which was Division I-AA runner-up in 2005. After UNI, it's Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas Tech. "It's a season of opportunity, and that's the way we're looking at it and we're not going to duck and hide," coach Dan McCarney told the Daily Kansan. Don't think that we are going to be taking the Cyclones to have any upsets in the coming weeks with our college football predictions.
Looking Ahead: A couple of tough tests await Big 12 teams. It doesn't get easier for Colorado, which sits at 0-3. The Buffaloes head to Athens to play Georgia. Kansas State will finally be tested when it hosts Louisville. The Wildcats have a shot at an upset now that the Cardinals will be without both Brian Brohm and Michael Bush.
