After a hot start to the season, the last few weeks have been pretty cold, I'm hoping to regain that early-season form. This is a huge week for the second-tier teams trying to make a push at a possible bowl game. Also, the upper-echelon of college football know they can't afford losses right now when trying to put themsemlves into position to make a run at a BCS bowl. I got four games on the slate that I feel confident about
I'll just jump on the Mountaineers to win the game and not worry about the points I could've gotten or should've laid. West Virginia has owned this series, winning 5 of the 6 meetings, including last years come-from-behind thriller. Obviously, Louisville knows about Slaton and Smith, whether or not they are able to contain them remains to be seen. I don't see that happening. But just in case they are able to slow them down, keep an eye on Darius Reynaud, WVU's version of "slash." He too, is a homerun threat. When it's all said and done, I believe West Virginia is able to run and score both early and often. Also, keep in mind West Virginia played in and won a game last year, so they have more exposure to "HUGE" games.
Wisky is the better team, at home, and in need of a win to keep their one-loss season going. Wisky had a bit of a stumble last week v.s. Illinois but regrouped to win the game, which is what good teams do. The Badgers will pound Hill and set up the pass for Stocco. When at home, if Wisky jumps out early, more often than not, they have the game decided by midway through the 3rd quarter, I believe that's what will happen Saturday.
