With the division and playoff predictions in the book, and the Pittsburgh Steelers and Miami Dolphins getting the NFL‘s regular season underway, I thought I’d take a stab at picking the individual awards, breakthroughs, and busts. Offensive Player of the Year - Carson Palmer, QB CincinnatiIf he can stay healthy, Palmer should lead the Bengals deep into the playoffs.
Defensive Player of the Year - Brian Urlacher, MLB ChicagoHis ability to cover so much ground in the middle is key to the success of the Bears’ defense.
Offensive Rookie of the Year - Mike Bell, RB DenverHere’s a guy that was on virtually no one’s radar during the draft, but he’s starting in a system that routinely produces great backs.
Defensive Rookie of the Year - Tamba Hali, DE Kansas CityHali didn’t put up great numbers at the combine, but he spent a lot of the preseason in the opposition’s backfield.
Coach of the Year - Nick Saban, MiamiSaban’s Dolphins made a dramatic turnaround over the second half of the ‘05 season, and should take the next step with a playoff appearance this season.
Breakout Team - Philadelphia EaglesInjuries and controversy tore this team apart last year. For now, both seem to have eased considerably and McNabb has a huge chip on his shoulder. Bust Team - Pittsburgh SteelersDon’t get me wrong… I think the Steelers will be a quality team this year. But in a tough AFC, I see them missing the playoffs (something they were in danger of at one point last year), which for a team defending its title, is massively disappointing.
Breakout Player - Greg Jennings, WR Green Bay This kid has looked great since taking the field in training camp. And with Favre throwing the ball, he should get plenty of opportunities to showcase his talents.
Free Agent Bust - Charles Woodson, CB Green BayThe Packers win one with Jennings and lose one with Woodson, who really has never lived up to expectations following his rookie season. Green Bay paid too much for his inconsistency.
Most Successful New Head Coach - Herman Edwards, Kansas CityOf all the teams with new head coaches, the Chiefs have the most pieces in place to get the job done.

NASCAR has become one of the hottest sports to bet, so we’re here to put you on the fast track to understanding racing odds and finding the best places to wager. The two main ways of gambling on NASCAR are “Betting to Win” a race and “Match up Betting” which pits a driver against another driver or a group of drivers.
Future wagers, such as; to win any championship or any division, are graded as soon as the season or tournament is over. The tournament must take place on the dates that it's scheduled.
If a driver is replaced by an alternate driver during a race, the new driver replaces the old driver in all match-ups, propositions, and futures wagers. The new driver's finishing position is credited to the old driver.
Head-to-Head Match-ups both drivers must start the race for the bets to have action. When betting on the "Field" option, in a given list of odds featuring drivers' names, it represents all other drivers Not Listed.

“Betting to Win” an outcome event like the Daytona 500 is the most common way to wager on a NASCAR race. Since NASCAR has multiple races over the course of a year, “Betting to Win” obviously offers numerous wagering opportunities. It is very important to note that not all the drivers in a race may be listed, so another NASCAR betting option is on the “field” which includes all other drivers not listed. The NASCAR odds on a “field” bet depend on how many drivers are listed and how likely it is for the top drivers to win. In other words, if the same five or six drivers seem to battle it out for the top spots each race, the odds on the “field” will be much higher since there is less likelihood that one of the longshots in the “field” will win.
