The 18-hole, par-72, 7,194-yard championship golf course, a joint venture of the Nicklaus Companies and ClubCorp, serves as the focal point for the exclusive Summerlin village of The Ridges. It is open for play on a daily-fee basis. Rates vary. There are four holes taken from Desert Mountain in Scottsdale, Ariz.; three from PGA West in Palm Springs, Calif.; two each from Old Works in Anaconda, Mont., and Las Campanas in Santa Fe, N.M.; and one hole replication from seven other courses, including Cabo del Sol in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, and Castle Pines Golf Club in Colorado.

"In many respects, it's easier to design a course from scratch than to attempt to fit in replications of holes I've already designed," Nicklaus said of Bear's Best Las Vegas. "Plus, the varied features and dramatic topography of this land in Summerlin have presented other challenges, which we've utilized to create a course that's interesting, diverse and unique." In a single round, Bear's Best Las Vegas features holes played in some of the finest PGA and Senior PGA Tour events, as well as the finest private member courses, coupled with views of the Las Vegas skyline and the majestic beauty of the surrounding mountains.
