naruto online flash games
This is a list of video games based on the popular manga and anime series Naruto.
Naruto video games have appeared on various consoles from Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, and even Bandai. The very first Naruto video game was Naruto: Konoha Ninpouchou, which was released in Japan on March 27, 2003 for the WonderSwan Color. Most Naruto video games have been released only in Japan. It wasn't until March 7, 2006 when Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen and Naruto: Saikyou Ninja Daikesshu were released in North America under the titles of Naruto: Clash of Ninja and Naruto: Ninja Council that any Naruto games were officially available outside of Japan. These games featured the voices from the English dubbed version of the anime. Recently, two new Naruto games for Nintendo DS and Wii have been revealed at the Tokyo Game Show. Also, the fifth installment to the Narutimate Hero series has been announced. There was also a new Naruto game released for the Xbox 360, Rise of a Ninja and a completely different one for the Playstation 3 is being developed by CyberConnect2 and Namco for release in 2008. It was originally known as Naruto: PS3 Project, but it has received the official title of Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm.
Naruto: Narutimate Card Battle (Narutimetto Kaado Batoru, Naruto: Narutimate Card Battle?) is the first Naruto game designed for the popular Data Cards arcade system. Like other Data Cards games, Narutimate Card Battle is an interactive card game, using real cards and 3D graphics to animate battles on screen. Also like other Data Cards games, which are often derived from Playstation 2 games, much of Narutimate Card Battle originates from Naruto: Ultimate NinjaNaruto RPG: Uketsugareshi Hi no Ishi is the first game in the Naruto RPG series, and re-tells the story in the manga from the beginning up until Naruto's first battle with Gaara. The game starts off with a team of Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Sakura Haruno, main characters of the series, and they are joined by like Rock Lee, Neji Hyuga, Shikamaru Nara. Jiraiya acts as a bonus character.
With the release of the game, Nintendo released a bundle set which included a limited edition orange Game Boy Advance. The Game Boy had the Konoha leaf on it. Although this game never got released outside of Japan, a 'remake' has been made for American Audiences, under the name of "Naruto: Path Of a Ninja" for the Nintendo DS. This game allows the player to use Jiraiya as a member of the player's party. The DS version incorporates various graphics from the third RPG game as well as the original version's graphics.
Due to censorship to avoid spoilers, some elements were removed from the game, including a bonus battle with Itachi Uchiha, although his sprite can still be seen in the credits and his voice actor is listed on the credits as well.
Naruto RPG 2: Chidori vs. Rasengan is the second game of the series. A limited edition version of the game was created as well. This version has Sasuke on the cover, as well as on the manual and the game card. Its story spans from the quest for Tsunade until the fight between Sasuke and Naruto. The graphics of the game are significantly improved from the first game and every characters' sprites have been redrawn. The game adds many characters that can be switched out at various times in the story. The story deals with Sasuke's frustation at Naruto becoming stronger, while Sasuke himself is still too weak to defeat Itachi.
Naruto RPG 3: Reijuu vs. Konoha Shoutai (translated as "The Sacred Beasts vs. The Konoha Team") is the third game. It has an original story situated during the filler arc at the end of the first part of the series. The graphics and gameplay are the same as the previous installment, and features many extra secret characters. There are around 35 characters in the game, including most of the Genin and Jounin, as well as the three Sannin, Itachi and Kisame. There is an online battle mode where you can fight against another person. You can choose a fixed level or use your own team's level.
Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles (うずまき忍伝, Uzumaki Ninden?) is a video game for the PlayStation 2 that is based on the popular manga and anime series Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto. Unlike the previous Naruto titles on the PS2 (Naruto: Ultimate Ninja and Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 2), which were fighting games, Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles is an action/adventure game. This is also the first 3-D Naruto game not to use cel-shaded graphics. Bandai Namco has finished working on the sequel, Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles 2, which was released in America on November 16, 2006 and in Japan on September 18, 2005. The game is entirely translated and features no Japanese voice track.[1]-
Due to the game being released too early for the dub viewers, content present in the game was either modified or removed. The presence of Itachi, Kisame, and Tsunade were completely wiped clean from the original in all FMV sequences and gameplay, while Gaara and Shikamaru had their costumes modified to their present dub costumes. Very strangely, Choji's abilities to enlarge his arm were kept in the game despite being a spoiler from the Sasuke Retrieval arc. The fight with Kisame vs. Naruto & Sasuke, is instead Kabuto vs. Naruto, and the Kisame fight against Naruto and Shikamaru is now Gaara vs. Naruto. Naruto's Rasengan was also kept in the game even though it came from the Search for Tsunade arc, though due to spoiler censorhip, it was renamed "Power Strike".
This game features mostly odd-jobs for Naruto to do (like find an ingredient for a candy maker, "advertise" (by beating up bandits) for a struggling shop owner, and more); but near the end, Naruto & friends learn that Orochimaru has created a new, deadly green mist that can kill living people and is using it to resurrect dead ninja to create a new army to destroy the Hidden Leaf Village. Over all this game is an intermediate level of play. This game (U.S. version) would most likely take place between episode 101 and 102. A special edition of this game featuring the original content left unedited and fully translated is scheduled to be released sometime after Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3.
Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles 2 (known as Naruto: Konoha Spirits in Japan) is a video game by Bandai Namco. It is based on the popular manga and anime series Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto. It is set after the end of part one of the manga, as Shikamaru is now a Chuunin and the Sand brothers have their end of part one costumes. The game focuses on the Shirogane Clan, who are attempting to regain power by using a forbidden jutsu to revive the Master Puppet, allowing them to rule over the Five Ninja Nations. Unlike in the first game, missions are now separate from the story mode and the co-op characters do not disappear after 20 seconds. Several characters are now unlockable, including Sasuke and Itachi Uchiha, Kisame and Kankuro.
Naruto: Ninja Destiny (Naruto: Shinobi Retsuden in Japan) is a 3D fighting video game developed by Dream Factory and published by Takara TOMY for the Nintendo DS video game console. The fighting is set on an infinite-scrolling stage, much like the earlier Tekken games. The touch screen has six large buttons which are used to activate special effects and use items.[2] The gameplay and graphics are similar to the Naruto: Clash of Ninja series of fighting games on the Nintendo Gamecube although having an extremely low character selection.
The Japanese version of the game has been given bad reviews due to slow frame rates and poor graphics. The English version of the game however has an improved frame rate and cel shaded graphics.
There are eight stages in this game and two different difficulty settings. There is a story mode, an arcade mode, a single match battle mode, and local mode.
In the newest issue of Shonen Jump, it was revealed that the game will be released in America on February 26, 2008. The game will have additional features over the Japanese version, such as new characters, outfits, special attacks, and "Help Items". In addition, the US/PAL version received a cel-shaded graphical enhancement and feature a much faster frame rate.
The game follows the Naruto storyline up until episode 135. Characters include Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Rock Lee, Neji, Shikamaru, Kakashi, Guy, Gaara, Jiraiya, Orochimaru, Tsunade, Itachi, Temari, Sasuke Cursed Seal Level 2, and One Tailed Naruto. Jiraiya, Orochimaru, and Tsunade are exclusive to the US version. Strangely in the US version, though Shikamaru wears his Chunin vest from the Sasuke Retrieval Arc, Gaara and Temari wear the outfits they were seen in during the Invasion Of Konoha Arc
Note: Curse Seal 2 Sasuke is removed from the European version of the game, owing to the fact that the European screenings had still to get through the Tsunade Decision Arc. As a side result of this, the credits were also removed due to the prescence of Curse Seal 2 Sasuke.
The European version also has no voice track whatsoever.
The US version of the game has received generally positive reviews, with IGN noting it as "a huge step in the right direction for Naruto DS games."
