Bet on NCAA
After a big off year, the Big 12 is poised to make a statement in 2006. If it weren’t for Texas and Oklahoma, the Big 12 would not even be on the map in recent years. Still, this conference is overdue for a good showing in 2006. The Big 12 is set up just like the SEC. There are two divisions with six teams in each. Texas is no longer the favorite in the eyes of many of us who bet on NCAA football. According to online gambling sites, like bestlinesports , it is Oklahoma who will run away with the title. With a 100% Adrian Peterson poised for a heisman run and more experienced Rhett Bomar at QB, the Sooners should once again be an offensive threat. On defense, Oklahoma looks even better with a unit that resembles that of 2001 with the leaders in most major team defensive categories returning. Bet on Oklahoma to have a great 2006. To win the Big 12 title, the Sooners will have to beat Texas A&M and Missouri on the road, and Texas in Dallas. Oklahoma will be looking to avenge last year’s loss to the Horns and once again win the Red River Rivalry in Dallas. The Sooners odds are at +150 to win the Big 12.
If the Sooners are not your team, you most likely taking the Horns to repeat as Big 12 Champs. Texas still has plenty of talent on both sides of the ball. Defensively Texas will be strong with a front seven as good as any under Mack Brown’s tenure. On offense, Texas has the best line in the conference and an emerging star in RB Jamaal Charles, but everyone knows the piece that’s missing. Had Vince Young returned for his senior season, Texas would be practically unstoppable. But unfortunately for Horns fans, you get a starting QB without one snap under his belt. Texas’ depth and talent everywhere else should give them at least 10 wins, but history proves freshman quarterbacks rarely, if ever, win championships.
It has been a longtime since Nebraska has been a serious contender in football. Last year the Huskers had a good season going 8-4. However, all four losses were in conference play. Nebraska has one of the easier schedules among all teams in the Big 12. They don’t face the Sooners and have Texas and Colorado at home. Bet on Nebraska to have an even better season than last year. They are at +600 and many sports books have them with even higher odds than that. If you are a diehard Huskers fan or like to bet on underdogs who have a realistic chance to win every game, then Nebraska is for you.
Texas Tech came in second behind only Texas in the south division of the Big 12. The Red Raiders had one of their best seasons in school history last year going 9-3 and 6-2 in conference play. Their only conference losses last season came against Texas and Oklahoma State on the road. This year, their two toughest road games are at Oklahoma and at Texas A&M. They also play Texas at home. Despite this hard schedule, the Red Raiders always pose a threat and at +800 are worth a look. sports fans from everywhere on the globe the opportunity to wager any sporting event available; NFL SuperBowl, european league soccer, NCAA College football odds, bet on the Rose Bowl and other NCAA playoff match ups. NCAA basketball, Golf, Hockey, World Series Baseball, NBA, whatever you want we got it! Online gambling has never ever been this easy.
This year the Big 12 title game will feature a repeat of one of the classic rivalries of all-time, featuring the Oklahoma Sooners and Nebraska Cornhuskers. This would be the first time these two schools meet in a conference championship. Nebraska will be a better team in 2006, but the Big 12 Champ will once again come from the South.
