MONEYLINE WAGERS Many Las Vegas and web based sportsbooks offer moneyline odds wagering on American Football, both online and over the telephone.
Moneyline Wagering is simply wagering on the contest based on a given price rather than a pointspread. The team bet on just, has to win the game.
ExampleA player could choose one of two wagers on the following matchup: If San Francisco wins, then the player laid $200.00 to win $100.00. If St. Louis wins, then the player who bet $100.00 wins $180.00. -Moneylines will be offered on most NFL and NCAA contests, and will be released mid-week, allowing sample time to get action on these events. -Moneyline wagers may be parlayed to other contests, but a moneyline wager may not be parlayed to any other wager from the same game.
BUYING POINTS
Many sportsbooks and internet casinos offer Point Buys.This is a method of allowing the bettor to improve the point spread odds of a football contest by actually "buying points" for the team he/she wants to wager, side or total. Bettors can buy points in 1/2 point increments up to 2 points, depending on the contest. Each 1/2 point costs the bettor an additional 10% vigorish.
ExampleThe Denver Broncos are playing the Kansas City Chiefs, and the line on the game is the Broncos -6 1/2, with a total of 42. If a $100 wager is placed on the Broncos -6 1/2 with a 1/2 point buy, the player has a wager on the Broncos -6 points, and must put up $120 to win $100, instead of the usual $110 to win $100. If the player, for example, requests a full 1 point buy to move the pointspread down to -5 1/2, he/she would have to put up $130 to win $100. Buying the pointspread down 1 1/2 points to 5 would cost $140 to win $100, and the full 3 point buy down to 3 1/2 would cost the bettor $170 to win $100. Conversely, the bettor may also buy points on the Chiefs side, and get the line at plus 7, 7 1/2 or 8 points, all the way up to plus 9 1/2 points with the same increase in vigorish.
Bettors may also buy points for football totals. In this particular game, bettors could buy an "over" wager with a maximum line move down to 39, or an "under" wager with a maximum line move up to 45. -Point Buying to a maximum of 3 points will be offered on all NFL and NCAA contests. -Bettors will be charged an additional 10% vigorish to buy on, off or through the numbers 3 and 7. -Point Buying will not be offered on halftime, quarter or moneyline wagers.
STRAIGHT BETS
Many offshore sportsbooks and casinos offer point spread and over / under betting, both online and over the telephone. On a point spread wager, the team wagered must win by the point spread. On an over / under wager, the total points of the contest by both teams, overtime included, must fall over or under the side selected.
ExampleThe posted line is San Francisco -5 at St. Louis +5 and the over/under total is 41. The odds are $1.10 to win $1.00 (-110) unless otherwise indicated. For the player who wagers on San Francisco -5, they must win by more than 5 points for this to be a winning wager. For the player who wagers on St. Louis +5, they must either win the game, or lose by less than 5 points for this to be a winning wager.
If the outcome falls on the number, either way, the bet is declared a "Push", and the original stake is refunded. For the player who wagers on the total points contest by both teams to be "Over" 41, the combined final score of both of this teams must exceed 41. For the player who wagers on the total points of this contest by both teams to be "Under" 41, the combined final score of both teams must be less than 41.
If the outcome falls on the number, the bet is declared a "Push", and the original stake is refunded. -Pointspread and Over/Under lines will be offered on all NFL, AFL and NCAA contests. -All wagers on the side & total will include all overtime scoring.
PROPS AND EXOTICS
Simply put, Proposition/Exotic Bets may generally be considered as any wager other than a straight "side" or "over/under" wager. More specifically, these wagers usually involve specific events and occurrences that happen throughout any given game. We have listed some examples for you below.

All bets are placed based on the numbers assigned to a horse by the track. These numbers are printed beside the name of the horse on the race program. Some tracks use the post position as the horse number. Irrespective of the method used by the track, you should always use the program assigned number when purchasing bets.
"Scratches" are horses that have been withdrawn from the race. No bets are sold on these horses. Bets are refundable on late scratches unless the bet specifically states otherwise (eg. off time favorite substituted).

Horse Betting Odds Odds are an approximation of how much a horse will pay to win a race. You will notice that as betting on a race progresses closer to post time, the odds will change. Why is that you ask? The monies that are wagered in a race are counted up and put into Pools.
What is a Pool? A Pool is where the total amount of money that is wagered on a specific type of bet is held to be redistributed to patrons that have correctly selected the outcome of the specific wager they have placed. Out of these pools certain percentages are subtracted. Why is that you ask? The reason being, a percentage of all money wagered go to governments, racetracks, and Horseman. After the percentages are removed, the remaining money is paid out. This is where we get our payoffs for winning tickets.
The odds are usually of the form x/y (e.g. 5/1, 9/5). Dividing x by y gives a ratio to 1. The smallest ratio or the largest amount of money on a number represents the favorite.
Winning odds of 2/1 will pay $6.00 for a $2 bet, while 5/1 will pay $12.00 for a $2 bet. Payout is calculated by (odds ratio to 1) x bet amount + bet amount.
Example: For odds of 5/1, the approximate payout for a $2 bet is 5 x $2 = $10 + $2 = $12.Some tracks allow different minimum amounts on each bet type; generally, $1 bets tends to be the minimum on all bets. The odds are computed based on the sales on the bet less a government and handling tax. These deductions vary and are usually controlled by a regulatory body. Casino originally, a public hall for music and dancing; by the second half of the 19th century, the term meant essentially a collection of gaming or gambling rooms.
The classic example of a casino, and for long the world's best-known one, which was opened in 1861. The casino has long been a major source of income for the principality of Monaco.
The 20th-century casino, which may also be called a gambling, or gaming, house or club, is a place where gamblers can risk their money against a common gambler, called the banker, or the house. Casinos have almost a uniform character throughout the world. In Europe and South America, they are permitted at many or most holiday resorts and not elsewhere.
In the United Kingdom, licensed and supervised gambling clubs, mainly in London, have operated since 1960. Club membership is required and easily obtainable. The government in France, which boasts the majority of European casinos, also regulates casinos.
In the United States, legal casinos were long operated only in Las Vegas and other locations in Nevada, where various forms of commercialized gambling were permitted.
