The LSS NCAA TOURNAMENT POOL is open to all attorneys and their staffs in the Greater Cincinnati/Greater Dayton area.
Entry is FREE and limited to one entry per person.
All entrants must pick the winner of all games on the bracket sheet. If a pick is skipped it will be counted as a loss. Points for your picks will be allocated as follows:
For each game that you correctly pick, the points for that game are multiplied by the seed of the team that you picked. This gives your point total earned for that game. This process allows a higher reward for those that pick the underdog wins correctly. [For example, if in the first round you pick the #1 seed correctly, then you get 2 total points for that game (2 x 1 = 2). However, if you pick a #16 seed correctly, you get 32 total points for the game (2 x 16 = 32).
The total points at the end of the tournament determines the winner. If there is a tie at the end of the tournament, the tiebreaker will determine the winner. The first tiebreaker is the total # of points scored by both teams in the National Championship game (without going over). The second tiebreaker is the number of final four teams picked correctly. The third tiebreaker is the percentage of correctly picked games throughout the entire tournament.
If an entry is submitted without a tiebreaker score, the tiebreaker will automatically be entered as 1. If an entry is submitted without games picked, those respective games will be counted as a loss for the entrant.
In the event of a first place tie after all tiebreakers, the winner will be determined via a random draw of the participants tied for first place.
ALL ENTRIES ARE DUE BY 11:59AM ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT (March 15, 2006)
